The Capital Concert Band  is a community wind band based in Edinburgh.

We rehearse on Thursday evenings  in Trafalgar Lodge, St Anthony Place in Leith . We are a sociable group of amateur musicians who believe music and fun go together. We attract members - not only from Edinburgh,

but also from as far afield as Fife, Perthshire, and the Borders.

Our Musical Director, Kevin Lamb,  is a distinguished musician who has numerous recordings and broadcasts to his credit as a composer, arranger, producer and conductor of both Wind Bands and Brass Bands. His professional career has included posts as Bandmaster of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders; Director of Music of The REME Band; and Head of School and Chief Instructor of the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall. Kevin has also presented masterclasses and lectured on Music Education, Conducting and Arranging at universities and colleges throughout the UK and overseas.

Membership is open to all players with an interest in making music We are always pleased to hear from anyone who is interested in joining the band. In particular, we need percussion,  bassoon, trumpet/cornet,  french horn,

trombone and euphonium players. Some instruments are available on loan.
